AP Conference 2026

Participants will explore best practices for supporting students with IEPs, 504 Plans, disabilities, and other unique needs in Driver Education. This session will provide practical strategies for accommodations, family communication, interdepartmental collaboration, and proactive planning to ensure equitable access and student success. Assistant principals will leave with tools and systems they can implement to better support students and families while navigating the Driver Education process.

In this session designed for Assistant Principals overseeing special education, we will use interactive activities to strengthen their facilitation of the eligibility process. Participants will review scenarios and eligibility criteria to support their eligibility determinations and assist them in gaining confidence in the decisions made for students with disabilities.
